evney Perry is an "automatic one-click" author for me.
I’ve been a fan since the release of The Coppersmith Farmhouse in March 2017. I love small town romance stories and Devney has perfected that category.
Her page-turning stories not only pull you in with descriptive scenery, well-developed characters and unique romantic twists, but weave suspenseful storylines that cleverly unfold keeping you on the edge of your seat.
Her book covers are gorgeous, as well. You’re able to read her books in front of your kids or in public without getting raised eyebrows.
Devney is not only a talented writer but a genuinely nice person. She has always been appreciative of my support and is very interactive with her readers.
Devney was born and raised in Montana, but has recently moved to the state of Washington with her husband and two sons. She loves to read, cook and spending time at her husband’s family ranch in Montana.
Some of her guilty pleasures include - Skittles, Pizza, Diet Coke, movie theater popcorn and red wine.
When Devney was growing up, she aspired to be a doctor, but In college, she changed course from pre-med to economics.
After nearly ten years, of working in the tech industry, she decided to give writing a try and I for one am extremely happy she did.
Her 10th book, Tinsel will be releasing in February.
releasing in February.
Here is my Q & A with Devney:
1. Where is the strangest place you’ve ever gotten a great story idea?
It’s not all that strange, but most of my ideas come when I’m driving. Something about being on the road (especially during longer trips) just helps my mind to open up and wander.
2. What is the last book you’ve loved?
✧ I’m in the middle of reading the Truth Duet by Aly Martinez. I love her duets and these two are no different. Totally unique premise, filled with twists and turns. I’m drawing it out because I don’t want it to end!
3. What is your favorite TV or Netflix series?
✧ Friends. It doesn’t matter how often I’ve seen an episode, if it’s on, I’ll watch it again. That was the one show I watched religiously through high school and college, and I doubt I’ll ever forget it.
4. Bucket list vacation spot?
✧ Australia and New Zealand. I’m going there for a signing in 2019 and I’m hoping to make a family excursion out of it too.
5. What’s your favorite gift ever received from a fan?
✧ I can’t narrow it down to just one – but I’ve had some incredible fans donate to my coffee mug collection this past year. They all have pride of place in my kitchen.
