“And you woke up dead, but hey that’s just life, or in this case death.” The Asian
women said in a reassuring tone.
John just sat quietly, and stared at the wall. The look upon his face was one of utter
devastation, the look that comes when your favorite team loses the super bowl, or
in John’s case when you realize you’re dead.
“Hey buddy, you ok, I’ll give you some time to process this.”
Two hours later.
“Alright now you’re just starting to creep me out, say something.”
John turned his head slowly, “I just never thought death would come this fast, I
thought I had more time.”
“Don’t we all, but hey I’m like diarrhea, I come when you least expect me, and
leave you a complete mess when I’m done.”
John looked at her perplexed, “So you’re Death huh, I expected you to be
different.”
“Yeah I’ve been trying out new looks recently, I use to come with the whole
skeleton and scythe get up, but that freaked people out. I would come as Morgan
Freemen a couple times, but people kept thinking I was god, so I settled on
nonthreatening, pudgy, Asian lady.”
