our own worst critics. I look back at that piece and in all honesty, I love it. The
meaning behind it is what I love the most. Long story short, people you thought
were friends can be your foe and a home isn’t as simple as a house you live in.
When I let a few people read it, a lot connected with it and felt the same way I did
in some way. Looking back at this, I realized what I want to accomplish as a
writer.
As a writer, you are an anonymous voice. You speak for not only yourself,
but for others too. Through my work, I hope to accomplish a sense of
relief/assurance. I hope that in the near future, readers will read my pieces and
think,” I thought I was the only on e who felt this way… but I was wrong.” I want
to give those who are afraid to speak their mind out verbally a voice through
writing. I hope to save lives just like writers near my heart saved mine. I want to be
that writer that people read for fun because the underlying meaning behind the
whole piece is so much better than the words used. In all honesty, I hope to impact
a reader in a way that is unique to each person who reads my piece. At the end, I
hope to be “real.”
With so many writers out there, it’s hard to pick a select few that have
impacted me. From J.K. Rowling to E L James, each piece they have produced is
unique in their own way. J.K. Rowling’s “Harry Potter” gives you the chance to
escape all your problems and enter Hogwarts. There, you get to experience true
