Oblivion My momma told me she doesn’t like my friends. Then I reminded her I had no friends at all. So she told me to go out and find one. I said okay and locked myself in my room, I laid there crying because her condition is still bad. She forgets my name and it makes me feel sad. When I remind her that my dad is dead, for the moment she is sad. Then she tells me she should invite her friends. I have to tell her they’re either sick or dead and it makes me feel bad. Some days she hardly remembers anything at all. Sometimes she even forgets how to open the door to her room. She has to take many medications, everyday she takes one. I’m the only person my mother has, she has no one. 39
