A Familiar Stranger
Inside and out, you are beautiful
With a rollercoaster past
The blank stare in your eyes
You were once a stranger
Your passion for things burning a fiery red
You’re a beautiful person
You can’t see yourself in person
But I see someone who is beautiful
Like a rose that is red
Yet you are tainted by your past
Although you are a stranger
I can see pain deep in your eyes
They say you can see truth in someone’s eyes
Face to face, in person
You somehow still remain a stranger
Which is in a way beautiful
You share very little of your past
Which is tainted blood red
The anger deep within you boiling red
Yet none of it reflected in your eyes
