Input / Output Devices
Input devices take input from the outside world and convert it to binary information. There is a memory to store this information. There is a central processing Unit aka CPU where all the calculations are done. And finally, there are output devices that take information and convert it into a physical output. Okay let’ s talk about input devices in real life: you have a keyboard, touchpad, a phone, a camera, a microphone, or a GPS. Also the sensors on a car, a thermostat or even a drone are different input devices. Now let’ s discover how information flows from an input device to become output. When you press any key on the keyboard and for instance we will select the letter B, the keyboard converts the letter B to a number, that number is sent as a binary ones and zeros into the computer and starting from that number all the process starts.
History of Computers
The history of computers is something that amazes me. Computer Basics 2 teaches me about how computers evolved over time to become important devices in our daily lives. As a person who loves learning new things, I’ m glad to be in this class and learn more about these incredible devices.
