One of the best ways for a school to ensure its commitment to excellence can be evidenced by its dedication to seeking and maintaining its accreditation. Cornerstone is dually accredited by the Association of Christian Schools International (ACSI) and Middle States Association (MSA). Each accreditation period lasts for seven years. During the 12-18 months before the school's accreditation period is due for renewal, it must conduct a thorough "self-study."
The 2023-2024 school year is Cornerstone's self-study year. We are busily working in a variety of sub-committees (comprised of representatives from teachers, students, parents, alumni, administrators, and board members) to look at the school's levels of effectiveness in six domains: Purpose, Relationships, Teaching & Learning, Expertise, Resources, and Well-Being. The sub-committees and the self-study steering committee are responsible for collecting and analyzing data that can help the school determine the areas most in need of continued growth and to develop strategic plans to improve effectiveness during the upcoming, new 7-year accreditation period.
The school board has stratetically elected to invest in conducting (once every 2-3 years) an important survey of all our constituents to allow data from your feedback to inform today's and tomorrow's growth plans for The Cornerstone Christian School.
In the next week or two, you will receive an email asking you to thoughtfully participate in a survey called Flourishing School Culture Instrument (FSCI). Students in Grades 6-12 will complete the survey during allotted times built into the school schedule. All others will be asked to complete the survey as soon as possible. Your open and honest feedback is necessary for the school's strategic planning process. Your timely feedback will help the school identify areas of strength and areas in need of being strengthened. The questions asked will closely align with the six domains upon which we are focusing during our self-study this year. Your feedback MATTERS!

Mr. Delmadge also founded DelStone School of Music where he equips and inspires musicians. We are excited as Mr. Delmadge brings his love of the Lord and music to our band program!
