FEBRUARY 2023

THE LION'S ROAR

7

This season between Christmas and Easter is a great time to focus on the life and teachings of Christ. Join Dr. Tony Evans as he teaches through the Gospel of John. The lessons are taught through short, 10 minute sessions, and there is a free study guide included.  Work through this series on your own or with family and friends. This is a great series for adults and teens.

From RightNow Media:

Where do you turn when the world around you grows dark? In this study of the Gospel of John, Dr. Tony Evans encourages us to turn to Christ by reminding us of the two purposes for the beloved disciple’s book—that we would believe in Jesus and find life in his name. Despite what our culture may argue, there is only one hope that is truly trustworthy and that is our savior, Jesus Christ. So join Tony for this twelve-session series that will draw you back to the essential truths of our faith and the life found in our king.

The second half of John shows us the love of the Father displayed in his Son. In this nine-session series, you will study Jesus‘s last days, crucifixion, and resurrection. Through John’s Gospel, Dr. Evans will show us the heart of God, the one who is ready to offer us hope and restoration in eternal life with him.

interactive learning iN high school science

Mr. Press is always on the lookout for ways to make our high school science courses more interactive.   Each of the courses includes time in our science lab to complete experiments and demonstrations, funded through our high school student fees.

Recently the Physical Science class took to the skies with a flight simulator! What a great way to gain an appreciation for the physics behind flying--and landing--an airplane!

This year Mr. Press also added a new virtual lab component to the courses called Labster. This program is fully integrated with Schoology and allows our students to work on science labs at school and at home. This provides many opportunities for students to gain a deeper understanding of the topics in the course.

STUDY OF THE MONTH

Our high school art students captured this year's theme with a cooperative graffiti project. The project will be on display in our gym for the remainder of the school year.
