2019-2020 Theme: BEHOLD THE KING! “And to him was given dominion and glory and a kingdom, that all peoples, nations, and languages should serve him; his dominion is an everlasting dominion, which shall not pass away, and his kingdom one that shall not be destroyed.” Daniel 7:14 (ESV) The CCS mission is to engage and equip your people to know Christ and be equipped to impact the world for God’s Kingdom. It is imperative that we understand what God’s Kingdom looks like, where it exists, and how we are able to actually make an impact for a kingdom that is everlasting. The 2019-2020 school-wide theme is BEHOLD THE KING! We know who the King is, and we are privileged to tell others about Him and His eternal reign. We live within that Kingdom TODAY, according to Jesus when He said that “the kingdom of God is in your midst” (Luke 17:21). We look forward to working together to make an impact in the world for God’s Kingdom! Introducing Our New Faculty & Staff Members This summer has been an unusually busy summer of adding new faculty and staff…and even expanding our staff due to excellent enrollment numbers! You received an email on July 20, which shared our most recently hired faculty and staff. Just after sending that email, Pastor Mark Santostefano informed us that, due to health reasons, he would have to resign from his part-time position as our high school Bible teacher. Please pray for him and he and his doctors continue to explore the extent of his health needs. We rejoice in knowing that God always has a plan to meet all our needs! High School Bible Teacher & CCS Chaplain We are grateful for God’s amazing provision of a new high school Bible teacher in such a short span of time! I am pleased to announce that Mr. “JT” Himmelstein will be serving this year as our Bible teacher. Many of our older students know him as Coach JT, since he coached our varsity boys’ basketball teams for a few years prior to this past school year; however, he will be joining the faculty as “Mr. H.” (This may take some practice for those who knew him as Coach JT!) Mr. H has a Bachelor’s degree in Christian Ministries, and he is the director of Next Gen Ministries at South United Methodist Church in Manchester. He will also serve as our school chaplain this year. Administrative Assistant Updates There will be some new faces at our office desks this year. In an effort to have only one person serving as our main office administrative assistant, Mrs. Debbie Clark is moving to the elementary office. The shared administrative assistant position is moving to the McLain office. Mrs. Jen Cane will continue to serve as our business manager three days a week, but she will serve in our McLain office on Mondays and Wednesdays. Mrs. Julie Gray will be serving in the McLain office on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays. High School English Teacher Page 2 of 10
