Mount Vernon , South Dakota , may not be the first place folks want to visit in the cold , winter months , but since 1981 , Wieczorek Limousin has hosted its annual bull sale in February , and they make it worth the trip .
Each year , the sale is stacked with heavy-muscled , docile bulls with a balanced set of EPDs to match . The Wieczoreks have been using
Limousin genetics since 1972 , and they continue to fine tune their breeding selection to best serve their customers .
“ My dad attended AI school in Chicago in the 1960s , and started utilizing artificial insemination in 1968 to advance the quality of our cow herd ,” said Curt Wieczorek . “ At that time , he was using multiple breeds , but in 1972 , his semen representative suggested Limousin . We
