Bob and Euvonne were
presented the Missouri
Limousin Breeders
Association “Promoter of
the Year” award in 2010,
sponsored by longtime
breeders Tom and Rosalie
Smith. This award was
started in 2009 and is given
to a breeder in recognition
of their active involvement
and promotion of the
breed. This includes
sponsorship, development,
and/or organization of
events that encourage
participation by fellow
breeders and youth.
The Wies family spent the better part of four
decades working together in the family’s
construction business, specializing in commercial
building in need of drywall, structural steel,
metal stud work, or acoustic ceilings.

Bob was a member of the North American
Limousin Foundation, the Missouri Limousin
Breeders Association, and the Heartland Limousin
Association. He will be missed by many. LT
In the same way, they have also worked together
with the cattle and farm operation. Their herd
of cattle started small and over time blossomed
into a herd of nearly 200 mother cows, counting
both registered and recipient cows. Bob
purchased his first Limousin bull in 1975.
On October 15, 2016, Wies Limousin Ranch
held their 41st Anniversary “Near Dispersal
Sale” at the farm. They needed to downsize
after losing some rented ground. Although
they cut back, Bob continued to raise and
promote Limousin cattle. He enjoyed attending
the various cattle shows including the
MLBA Field Day, the Missouri State Fair, the
American Royal, and the NAILE in Louisville.
Wies Limousin Ranch has taken home many
champion trophies over the years. The highlight
was the Triple Crown Winner in 2010-2011
with their Supreme All-American Futurity Bull,
MAGSWLR Usual Suspect. They also took home
other champions at the All-American Futurity
