Cook-Off
On Sunday, June 30, 2019, the Annual Limousin Beef Cook-Off took place for states to show off their
impressive cooking abilities. Teams are judged on their theme, educational aspect of their skit and
the taste and appeal of their recipe. Texas took home the first place award; Oklahoma came in second,
and also won the people’s choice award. Missouri rounded out the cook-off coming in thrid.
INSTRUCTIONS:
1. Mix garlic salt, steak seasoning, dijon mustard
with softened butter
2. Separate hawiian rolls into halves. Place cut sides
up on baking sheet. Spread butter on cut sides,
reserving 1/4 cup
3. Toast slightly under broiler or in toaster oven
about two minutes or until golden brown

TEXAS GRAND SLAM SLIDERS
INGREDIENTS:
+ + 4 lbs. Cooked, thin sliced tri tip or sirloin steak
+ + 12 Hawaiian sweet mini sub rolls
4. Layer rolls with thin sliced beef
5. Top beef with sliced cheese. Return tops of rolls
6. Brush tops to rolls with remaining softened
butter
7. Return to oven to broil for 2 minutes or until
cheese melts
+ + 1 c. Butter, softened 8. Serve warm with side of barbeque or steak sauce
+ + 1 tbsp. Garlic salt 9. Garnish with pickle spear
+ + 1 tsp. Steak seasoning
+ + 1 tsp. Dijon mustard
+ + 12 Slices mozerella cheese
+ + 12 Slices provolone cheese
