International Limousin Congress
attendees enjoyed the wonderful
mountainous scenery that
Colorado offers. Estes Park was
a great way for participants to
enjoy the Rocky Mountains and a
morning in this popular mountain
town.
To kick off the congress, opening
ceremonies were held Thursday
night at the Grand Hyatt, Denver,
where over 15 countries were
represented by more than 100
guests. Participants were able to
get to know each other over dinner
and a presentation of the flags
ended the evening.
Thursday, July 19
After Estes Park, the buses were
loaded down and on the way to
Platteville, Colo. to visit and tour
Magness Land & Cattle. Participants
socialized in the show barn and
then took a bus tour around the
ranch to look at some of the MAGS
genetics.
Friday, July 20
The first full day of the International
Limousin Congress, the group headed
to the National Western to watch the
All-American Limousin Futurity, held
in conjunction with the National
Limousin Junior Show & Congress.
Attendees from all over the world were
excited to see what the cattle
looked like in the United States
and many were introduced to Lim-
Flex cattle for the first time.
