Dotted around the park are tranquil corners for rest and contemplation (eg swings, benches and seats) as well as private areas for hire to enjoy the surroundings, observe the wildlife and savour a picnic.
If you would like refreshments or a meal, we recommend the Café by the Lakes for its variety of dishes which cater to most dietary requirements. Seasonal produce is sourced from the Kitchen Garden.
Next to the restaurant is the Artisan’s Bazaar, an outlet for Dorset artists and makers, giving visitors a chance to purchase a special gift or sample local delicacies.
Although we were told it would take about an hour and a half to walk around the Park, one could easily spend the whole day enjoying this “haven of peace and tranquillity”. But don’t take our word for it - have a peek at Sculpture by the Lakes by watching the following video:
