SAN MIGUEL

Gratitude in the Heart of Mexico by Trenia Logan facebook . com / lifegridsanmigueldeallende

Over the last couple of months , I have been privileged to get to know many heart-centered business owners in San Miguel de Allende thanks to my participation in LifeGrid Media . These people are as amazing as the city and services they provide . They are kind , humble , intelligent , creative and gracious beyond measure . They have become my friends before I even arrive in San Miguel de Allende . My circle is growing . Collectively our spheres of influence are spreading love , joy and collaboration throughout this world that at times can seem incredibly broken . For this and so much more , I am grateful .
Instead of putting the sentiments of my friends into my own words for this month ’ s editorial , I felt it was best to give some direct quotes and paraphrases from a group conversation that we had in regards to gratitude in San Miguel de Allende . Erika , owner of Corazón Libre , a holistic & metaphysical shop in San Miguel , said the following , “ Gratitude brings multiple blessings ; gratitude is linked directly to humanity . To be thankful inspires others and this reciprocity forms a cycle of good-will among others . Gratitude is usually felt when one recognizes the good in another . Gratitude is a sensation of satisfaction and recognition of all that one receives . It ’ s expressed in many ways – a word , a hug , a note , a gift , a smile . To make someone smile in the Zen world , is a great gift from the heart full of compassion .”

My long-time friend Luigi said simply yet profoundly , “ Gratitude is a question of education and humility toward others !” Leticia , Spanish teacher , said , “ Gratitude is very important in our daily lives . It forms part of our being . Without gratitude , we do not appreciate the value of each individual and each detail of our lives .” The world needs gratitude today maybe more than ever . Thank you for taking the time to read LifeGrid . Thank you for participating to those who contributed to this article . Thank you for showing up to make this world a better place .
