Money & Abundance
by Wanda Veloz
Hello! It’s me, money, your friend. Or at least one of them. But I’m
your friend for different reasons than the ones you're thinking of.
You see me as whimsical, elusive and mortifying, I know. Or
maybe you see me as the grand objective; a saviour; the primary
goal in your life. If you have money, you think, you can devote
yourself to the things that really matter in life: your dreams, your
family. If you have money, you think, you'll dedicate yourself to
doing good; you'll buy everything that you need and you’ll finally
have peace.
And to get me you make many sacrifices: you work hours and
hours a day on something that you might not be so passionate
about. But you do it because you have responsibilities, or at least
that’s what you think. You want / need these material things that
will make your life easier, according to you. Then, it’s worth the
effort. You have to do it. You have no choice. "You can’t live out
of air," you tell yourself. And this is enough to get you out of bed
and go to an office (or wherever it is that you work) and you
spend eight hours (if you're lucky, they might be more) of your day
doing your job. Maybe you’re one of those people who love and
live for what they do in their quest to getting a good income. Con-
gratulations!
But maybe you’re one of those people that don’t love their job that
much. Perhaps there was a time when you loved your job. It excit-
ed you. It challenged you and that you liked that. And over time,
that excitement trailed off. Perhaps it was the work environment
that started disappointing you. Or the people by your side that
started getting on your nerves. Or maybe it was a boss that slowly
broke your spirit. ¿Repetitive work that turned mechanic? ¿Or
maybe one day you just woke up tired of it for no apparent
reason?. Heck, perhaps it’s a mystery to you why it no longer
makes you happy. You simply cannot explain it.
But you want me in your life; you need money to live. If you have
no money you get in a bad mood, your head hurts, you lose
sleep, you worry. You have to fulfil your personal and social
responsibilities. Maybe for you, money represents status, success,
value.But I’m a vibration in your life. I’ll confess something: I’ve
disguised myself as money in order to get closer to you. Truth is,
I’m Abundance. Under this façade of goods I adapt to human
dimension; expressed in the physical. I’m a higher state of Being.
I have other names too: Prosperity, Riches, Wellbeing. That’s me.
Pleased to meet you!
Your relationship with money is a reflection of how you relate to
Abundance. Some have been taught that money is bad; that to
have it is to be ambitious and unspiritual. Others have been
taught that money is everything, and one must do whatever is nec-
essary to get it. There are people who fear money, even if not
consciously. "Too much responsibility". "They're going to steal it
from me or kill me because of it". "I don’t deserve it, I haven’t
