For the chief financial officer who finally decided she wouldn’ t be made a scapegoat; who didn’ t just take what was being said and skulk meekly away, but stood up to ask“ why” and say“ this isn’ t right”; overcoming years of cultural and personal reticence to speak up and be seen.
For the mother who saw how she provided the most stellar role modelling to her children around doing what you love AND loving being a mother, and realising the two are not mutually exclusive, and that she didn’ t need to feel the guilt – indeed she could and should celebrate.
For the small business owner who walked away from a safe corporate job, to risk everything, to work from dawn to dusk, and who thought –“ this, this is living”.
For the person who realised that it wasn’ t actually about her – that the bullying and the poor behaviour was someone else’ s behaviour. That she had no control over other people’ s behaviour, only her own – but that she didn’ t need to react to it, she didn’ t need to buy into it, she didn’ t need to believe it. That she could choose a different path.
