I am Trevor Massman and I was born on April 28th, 1997. I started cub scouts in 1st grade and got done in 5th. I then started Boy Scouts which I have turned in my Eagle Scout paper work and waiting on references to come back. I have been involved with band since 5th grade and choir since 7th. I am currently a Junior at North Fayette Valley and this is the first Year as North Fayette Valley.
This year has gone by fast on the first day of school it wasn’t going to be like the rest there was going to be more people. A different school name and school colors. A different choir, a different band, different everything there was change everywhere. But when I went to my first class it seamed all the same started class like normal played in band went to chemistry then to material process different faces different locker and more people. As the days went on we started combining mixing up and when we sang that first time in choir it was better than we have had in the past a more variety of voices a more mature sound that was when I noticed that this change was good it didn’t matter if the schools hated each other before we were going to have to deal with it because we needed them and they needed us. As the football season started and we couldn’t loose we combined two great football programs and put them into one and made a team and they were great same with all the other sports. When Musical practice auditions started I didn’t sign up because I didn’t like singing solos in front or talking in front of a crowd that big. So I signed up for the pit band. We learned the music fairly fast and within a couple weeks started practicing with the cast they were great the roles of the actors fit in like puzzle pieces and pieced it together. When they got it perfected as much as they could it was time for the performances. I was the only trombone in the pit band so I was basically playing a solo, the performances were great the first one wasn’t the best some had lines that were forgotten. But as they rehearsed a little more before the next performance they nailed it. Then jazz band and jazz/ chamber choir started. I was only in jazz band but we practiced every Friday and when contest came around we got a division one rating and beat Decorah because they got a division two rating. Chamber choir was really good they got perfect ballot and got straight ones.
