1 . What is your greatest achievement in sport ?
My greatest sporting achievement would have to be , when rowing in the novice men ’ s 8 for GUBC , we won gold at the Scottish University Championships , beating every other uni in Scotland , including rivals Edinburgh . We then went on to place 6 th at BUCS .
2 . How has being a part of a sport ’ s club benefited your time at UofG ?
I only got involved in sport at university in my second year and I can honestly say that my biggest regret is not having gotten involved sooner . It was only after becoming a member of the Boat Club , rowing in the Novice Men ’ s Squad , that I realised the benefits of participating in sport at university . Training day-in , day-out with the same team of people , not only improved my university experience in terms of keeping active but it also immensely improved my experience socially .
