1 . What is your greatest achievement in sport ?
At the age of 14-18 I played semi-professional football in the second highest division in Sweden . Playing at this level required a lot of commitment but challenged me in a lot of ways , boosting my performance on the pitch as well as my resilience off it . This experience has benefitted me greatly during both club and team captaincy of Glasgow University Women ’ s Football Club .
2 . How has being a part of a sport ’ s club benefited your time at UofG ?
It has given me an extra family , especially important for me as an international student given that my family aren ’ t close by . Being a part of the football club allowed me to easily adapt to the student way of life in Glasgow . By competing throughout Scotland , sport participation has given me the opportunity to travel and see what other Scottish cities have to offer . It has allowed me to play football with people from all across the world . Sport offers a unique opportunity to bring diverse people together to work towards a common goal and this is something evident at Glasgow .
