Join us for a Summer of Fun with Youth Enrichment at Community Education!
Time and time again, studies show that there is a strong relationship between participation in youth enrichment programs and positive outcomes for young people, including better school attendance, higher academic achievement, greater investment in school, and stronger social-emotional skills. That's because the programs, classes, and camps you'll find in this catalog are more than just something to do — they're opportunities for young people to discover who they are. Through youth enrichment programs, young people can investigate their passions, find friends, try new things, and think about their futures; they can learn, grow, and play.
Whether through soccer, watercolor painting, game design, volleyball, dance, engineering, music, or more, youth enrichment programs will provide more than just an activity to pass the time. These programs cultivate:
- Collaboration with peers to create something that no one person could have made by themselves
- Critical thinking to solve problems and try different solutions
- Humility in the outcomes of games, whether winning or losing
- Confidence to share and perform in front of others
- Curiosity and an open mind to new possibilities
- Self-expression and developing identity
