• Over the past two fiscal years , Arlington invested $ 94 million in new construction and maintenance of streets and sidewalks .
• This fiscal year ( thru Sept 30 , 2023 , the City plans to invest an additonal $ 63 million for construction and maintenance of streets and sidewalks . Of this fiscal year allocation :
• Arlington recently approved an engineering services contract for future plans to rebuild and widen an aging section of Randol Mill Road between Cooper Street and Collins Street . This planned project , which is expected to be included in the 2023 Bond Program , up to $ 17 million in funding allocated from the 2021 Tarrant County Transportation Bond Program . • Also this year , the City is wrapping up a four-year initiative to convert all streetlights across Arlington to LED fixtures that are more energy efficient , environmentally friendly and last longer . There are approximately 1,950 streetlights left to convert to LED . When this project is completed , Arlington will have converted approximately 23,000 streetlights citywide to LED .

Arlington ’ s Street Tracker webpage , available since 2015 , provides transparency and up-to-date information on both current and proposed street maintenance and construction projects throughout the 99-square-mile city . Residents can visit Arlington ’ s Street Tracker webpage at www . arlingtontx . gov / streettracker .
The webpage features a project list with upcoming bid opportunities , information on street closures , an explainer how the City decides which streets to repair and which to rebuild , and a news feed featuring the latest information on street and sidewalk construction and maintenance .
The site also contains two interactive maps . The Street Tracker map allows users to type in an address or click on a highlighted section of street and learn more about the type of construction activity underway , such as water main installation , sanitary sewer renewal or sidewalk replacement . The Street Condition Map allows users to type in an address or click on a section of roadway to see its currently Overall Condition index and whether it is rated red , yellow or green based on its score .
The webpage includes a link where users can reach out to the City to report concerns such as potholes , burnt out streetlights , obstructed views or standing water on the street . Residents can also download the Ask Arlington app or call the Action Center at 817-459-6777 to report concerns .
