• Payment policy – Holidays cannot be confirmed until Leuchie House has received a signed funding form, at least 6 weeks prior to the start of the break. If a guest is paying privately, full payment is required 4 weeks in advance of their break. Payment may be made by card or cheque payable to Leuchie House. Where a local authority is paying for all or part of the holiday, they will be invoiced for the full amount. Guests’ house bill at the end of a break can be paid by cash, cheque or card. • Cancellation Policy – Cancellations made within 28 days of the booked respite dates will be subject to payment in full unless Leuchie is in receipt of a letter from the guest’s GP or hospital stating that they are unfit to come for respite. • Guests’ spending money – On arrival, guests or their carer will be offered the chance to log their spending money with reception where it will be put in the safe before being logged in and out whenever required. • Smoking policy – There is a smoking area outside for guests’ use if they are able to smoke unassisted. Anyone who needs assistance will not be permitted to smoke during their stay. Smoking substitutes are available to purchase. • Alcohol policy – Leuchie House is unlicensed, but guests are welcome to bring their own alcoholic beverages. • Insurance – Guests are asked to ensure that all their possessions, including wheelchairs, are covered by their own insurance.
