4th of July SNACKS

This fruit recipe can be modified by adding coconut chunks or other white foods instead of bananas and white pears. The fruit can be shaped, put on skewers or layed out in a decorative pan. Have fun.

Fresh Fruit Flag

Ingredients

1 cup organic blueberries

1 white peach (apple, banana, coconut, other).

1 cup organic (or well-washed) strawberries

1 Tbsp lemon juice (for peaches)

Directions:

Slice the peaches thin and the strawberries into rounds or halves. Arrange the fruit on a white plate in rows.

Alternate red, white and blue.

Then squeeze a bit on lemon juice over the sliced peaches (apples or bananas) to maintain a nice white color.

Place a bowl of toothpicks next to the plate for easy access. Toothpicks are more delicate for the fruit instead of a big fork.
