How do you keep heat stress levels down? Staying out of the sun helps but did you know that avoiding caffeine (hot or cold) is a great way to keep your body temperature down? Caffeine is a stimulant so drinking it will raise your core temperature. Spicy hot foods do the same. Another great way to stay cool is to add a few rinse-off showers to your day. So you scrubbed in the morning before work, you scrubbed after work, how about adding a rinse-off right before bed? Wake up hot in the middle of the night, jump into the shower. Make the shower hot at first then move it to cold. This will rinse out your pours and then chill your body for the next few hours (depending on the temperature of your home). Toss your towel through the rinse cycle in the washer grab a fan, and keep cool while lounging around the house. In your car and outdoors (women) can stick a frozen bottle of water between their breast. This cools you at the core while holding on to your water! Most of all drink lots of water and eat lots of fruits. Stay safe during this HOT month. []
