ANKHBAYAR MUNKHZAYA WORKING ON THE HANDS-ON PORTION OF THE SKILLSUSA
MANUFACTURING ASSEMBLER COMPETITION.
FROM CLASSROOM TO CAREER
All of the students at the competition are from a Core Plus Aerospace program where high school students learn hands-on advanced manufacturing skills and more. Students gain real-world skills that open doors to goodpaying advanced manufacturing jobs and give them an advantage when applying for apprenticeships, post-high school certificates, and college degrees.
“ The most fun part about Core Plus Aerospace is working with my hands and doing projects,” Omar said.“ Core Plus Aerospace helps students find their purpose and gives them a place to apply their skills and grow.”
READY TO START MANUFACTURING YOUR FUTURE?
If you like working with your hands and building projects from scratch, then manufacturing could be for you.
“ Students should explore manufacturing because it’ s a lot of fun to see your creations come together,” Andres said.“ You’ re the one putting it together.”
The students competing at the SkillsUSA competition started off just like you. They explored their interests and tried something new. Now they’ re building real skills at competitions in a Boeing factory and in their Core Plus Aerospace class.
“ Students should get involved in Core Plus Aerospace and compete in SkillsUSA,” Omar said.“ You might be good at it!”
You can start exploring now just like Omar, Andres, and Ankhbayar.
