Flite Test Manufacturing
Where do all our aircraft kits come from? Flite Test has its own manufacturing facility at Flite Test headquarters in Ohio. After Josh and the crew research, design, create, and test an aircraft, the design file goes to the laser cutters in the manufacturing warehouse where large sheets of foamboard are laser-cut so the aircraft kits can be assembled at home.
Flite Test STEM
By now, you can tell we love to build aircraft and have a lot of fun in the process, but maybe you are thinking,“ If only I could have that much fun while I am at school …” We have a solution for you! It is called Flite Test STEM: an educational curriculum that uses Flite Test aircraft and drones to teach aerodynamic concepts and how to solve problems using what we call the engineering design model: research, design, create, and test. This can be described as“ thinking like an engineer” and is the same process Josh and his crew use when they are creating a new aircraft kit for the store( or a flying pig, or flying 3D printer, or flying mailbox …)
If you have ever wanted to learn how to build and fly your own remote-control aircraft, you’ ll find the inspiration and resources you need at Flite Test, where we love to fly and would love to help you fly, too!
