OUR GOALS, STRATEGIES AND DIRECTIONS
Our Business Plan is based on
four strategic goals. Under each
goal are one or more strategies
that will help us to maintain
direction and attain the goal.
Each strategy is then further
divided into individual specific
directions or actions.
GOAL ONE:
INCREASE THE AWARENESS OF
AGRICULTURE AND THE AGRICULTURAL
SERVICE BOARD TO COUNCIL, FARMERS,
SCHOOLS AND ALL MD RESIDENTS.
Strategy One
Communicate to Council, farmers and all MD
residents the benefits of agriculture and the
Agricultural Service Board.
Direction/Action

• Develop, maintain and review this Business
Plan every five years
• Provide Council with an annual Business Plan
Final Report
• Host an Annual ASB Fall Social
• Attend and participate in local trade fairs,
parades and other community functions
• Partner with the local schools to facilitate
agricultural programming
• Provide extension (agricultural, environmental,
horticultural, etc.) to all rural residents
