LOCAL PHOTOGRAPHER Photography fan captur T aking the plunge and turning your hobby into your career is a big step, and quite a big gamble for anyone these days, but after travelling the world, meeting the man of her dreams and then settling down to have a family, it’s just a drop in the ocean for Paula Gordejczuk. Speaking to Leek Life about pursuing the dream of becoming her own boss and turning her love of photography into a full time job, Paula explained: “Deciding to become a freelance photographer was not something I ever imagined I would do but since taking the plunge I have surprised myself just how much I love it. I mean ‘really’ love it!” Taking photographs for a living may have not been on the agenda for free spirited Paula but with travelling in her blood and a natural desire to capture these amazing places and moments in her life on camera it was a natural progression for the former Westwood High student. “I suppose it did all start from when I first went to America, it goes without saying that a camera \˜[
