display of a variety of birds including different species of owls , hawks , eagles and falcons at the show as well as being on hand all day for visitors to talk to , ask questions and for photo opportunities .
Spectators around the main arena will also be able to enjoy crowd favourite Peter Hallam and his Dog and Duck demonstration , not to mention the impressive Grand Parade of livestock , the shire horse classes and horse and hounds .
The show is famous for the quality of its livestock classes and hundreds of exhibitors will be preparing their animals to perfection – from sheep and goats to cattle and shires – ready for the judges to inspect .
In addition to the livestock classes , there will also be a wide range of other attractions including a laser clay pigeon shoot , Stone Town Band , Punch and Judy , Leek Scouts Marching Band , a display of classic Triumph Stags , horticulture , crafts , Women ’ s Institutes and many more . The Flower Design section was revamped last year to mark the 50th anniversary and continues to grow from strength to strength this year with all budding flower arrangers urged to enter the competition with lots of exciting new classes in the schedule as well as flower arranging demonstrations throughout the day .

Whether you have something to sell or just like to browse , the Craft Marquee has something for everyone ! Previous stalls have included a chocolate fountain , children ’ s garden furniture , the RSPB , an architect , glass jewellery and homemade cards .
Visitors will also have the chance to wander among the dozens of trade stands – many of which will be offering bargains on the day . Advance tickets are now on sale , from the following outlets in Leek town centre : Britannia , and Leek Tourist Information Centre . Prices in advance are £ 5 for adults and £ 3 for children aged five to 15 and senior citizens . On the day , these prices rise to £ 6 for adults and £ 4 for children and senior citizens . A family ticket , which is only available in advance , costs £ 12 and admits two adults and two children . Or why not support the Moorland ’ s premier rural event by becoming a Member ? Benefits include entrance to the show and a parking pass . Membership prices are single £ 7 , double £ 12 , Vice president £ 15 , Patrons from £ 20 .
