NEW Aging By Design: Exploring the Possibilities Join in this three-part series led by experts from FamilyMeans and learn how to identify and map out your individual aging-by-design goals. Explore the changes that occur as people age, design your personal path to retirement and be part of the discussion to break sensitive subjects into workable steps for your future possibilities. FamilyMeans Session 1: Navigating Transitions Navigating transitions at any age is not always easy. Learning about aging transitions and self-purpose related to work, retirement, health, family and community can help you lead a very positive life as you begin to explore the possibilities. Session 2: Your Future Paycheck Whether you have little or no knowledge about budgeting for your future, gain information to become and remain a successful money manager. Understanding your own financial situation and considering a variety of options will better prepare you for choices you can make as you begin to think about your future retirement. Session 3: Preparing for the Unexpected You may not be able to stop crises, but you can be ready to get through them with confidence. Explore various roles you take on as you age, anticipate what those roles may involve, and look into documents that can help us be prepared for the unexpected. Discuss this and other common experiences women have as they age, as well as what culture says about the aging process; especially for women. Based on her book by the same name, author/presenter Kim Kane will share frank, honest and humorous wisdom from the hundreds of women she interviewed, with the hope of sending the message: we are in this together. Come have fun and discover that when you look through the lens of gratitude, everything is better...even aging. Following the presentation, Kim will be signing her book which will be available for optional purchase for $14.94 + tax.
