Psychology Learning Community Newsletter spring 2014 Selected Events Cross the Line: RA Adela Moore asked a series of questions about identity on February 5. Residents crossed the line if it applied to them. Everyone enjoyed learning more about their cohort and stepping outside of their comfort zone. Love and Sexuality Presentation: Dr. Ogletree stopped by on February 18. The residents really got into the conversation. Thanks Dr. Ogletree! Relax and Restore Yoga: Residents have been doing yoga before bed throughout the semester. At Risk Friends in College Online Training: Residents learned how to talk to friends dealing with problems using the Counseling Center’s website. Psychology LC Does Bobcat Build! Residents volunteered at a local family’s home on Saturday, March 29. They enjoyed bonding and helping out in the San Marcos community. Psychology LC Academic Achievements Faculty Dinner: Residents enjoyed dinner with Dr. Ogletree in Co mmons dining hall on April 9. Fall 2013 LC average GPA: 2.84 Resident Spotlight: Amanda Dortman Amanda Dortman Dean’s List students: 4 “Amanda is a ray of sunshine in the psychology learning community! She's sweeter than birthday cake flavored ice cream with caramel on top. Amanda always attends events and offers a kind word to anyone in need. She has over 16 out-of-class hours in the LC from this semester alone and is still racking them up!
