Learning About E-Waste With The Wolcott Nitrobots E-Waste | Page 6

Now let’s talk about how E-Waste affects our air. Guiyu and other E-Waste recycling facilities burn left over, non-recyclable device parts. This method can release hydrocarbons into our oxygen, which are bad for our lungs, and also animal’s lungs.

The most lethal way E-Waste effects the environment is from the soil. Sometimes, toxin particles get into our soil, and dissolve into the ground. Can you guess what happens next? When farmers plant their crops, these toxins get into our food. You know the furry little creatures that eat those crops (AKA bunnies). They get poisoned, and die. But these aren’t the only creatures that are affected by these toxins. Humans can also get very sick. These are only a few of the many ways E-Waste affects the environment.

This is my everyday life.
