Christopher Lynch Bringing Health and Wellness (continued from page 20) As a transportation company Lakeville Ambulette understands the role transportation plays in the delivery of health care to the elderly, as well as individuals with mobility challenges. By hosting the health fair I hope that I will have the opportunity to educate the providers of health care services as to the critical role that transportation plays in the delivery of health care to those who are mobility challenged. 5 How has the action learning process in the context of the Leadership Academy experience contributed to your growth as a leader? During the planning stages of the health fair I have been able to use some of the techniques learned through the Leadership Academy. The team was developed with individuals who I thought were knowledgeable with community outreach, marketing and have experience with health fairs as well the connections necessary to make the event a success. While planning the event I have been able to identify the characteristics of the members of the team and understand what their vision for the event. In understanding their vision I have been able to integrate their ideas with mine with the hope that this event is a success. What a tremendous opportunity you have helped create for all of the leaders in New York State. I am so fortunate to be a part of LeadingAge New York.
