Anne Dooley Executive Director Good Shepherd Village at Endwell Good Shepherd Communities Living Vision 1 How would you describe your Action Learning Project and the difference you hope it will make to advance your organization’s mission (or the field) and benefit the individuals you serve? The Action Learning Project, “Good Shepherd Communities Living Vision” is a benchmarking initiative that will create a new appreciation of the Vision statement. The goals from the Vision statement will be identified and further clarified into Key Values. The Key Values will have identified “Tasks/Processes” for each goal and be categorized as to, “Exceeding Measures” and “Lagging Measures”. These values are then inserted into the “Performance Report” to measure our progress of identifying our more challenging goals. This will make the Vision statement a “reality” with tangible goals for everyone as we care for our residents knowing that all Team members are empowered to make a difference. Goals/Values of the Key Measures portion of the benchmarking will be reviewed/revised annually based on various factors such as, regulatory compliance, Board of Director input, the integrated strategic plan and the current opportunities for innovation and collaboration. 2 How have the relationships you’ve developed as part of your project (with mentors, partners, stakeholders, etc.) influenced this direction and you as a leader? Opportunities abound from leaders that I have had the good fortune to be in their presence and have been part of a working team and emulate their personal practices when I’ve interacted with them. Everyone learns differently, and for me I was able to ask the questions that I needed to have answers so that I was able to process the information. This has come through the art of “soft-ball” questi
