Besides, an expensive shoe doesn’t necessarily mean they will last longer. Sometimes you are just paying for the deeper arches and aggressive heel hooks. Not wanting to wear down your shoes can be surprisingly good motivation to improve your footwork. If you’re fairly new to climbing, there’s no need to buy a fancy pair of climbing shoes, equipped with heel hooks, super thin rubber soles and heel cushioning. Obviously, more experienced climbers may look more into different designs. For example, arched rock shoes are designed to help on overhangs, preventing the climber’s feet from slipping off holds. For less experienced climbers, most go for shoes that are less flexible, with thick soles. This gives climber a strong shoe that will be able
