We must push through the pain barrier to grow in strength. Paul talked about these challenging life situations, reminding us of how the Lord responds to us in these moments:“ But he said to me,‘ My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.’ Therefore, I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ’ s power may rest on me. That is why, for Christ’ s sake, I delight in weaknesses, in insults, in hardships, in persecutions, in difficulties. For when I am weak, then I am strong”( 2 Corinthians 12:9 – 10). in exchange for freedom for the rest of your life. You get to choose— and life is all about choices.

Jesus ultimately covers our lack of natural strength with His supernatural power, but we must lean into the temporary discomfort and pain to build spiritual muscle maturity. When we decide to quit, give up, and lie down, we become weaker in the long run. The saying“ no pain, no gain” is so true when it comes to facing our issues. It may feel uncomfortable at first, but you have a choice: Either live with chronic pain for the rest of your life or face discomfort for a short period of time
