After“ Even If,” I decided that if I was to keep going in Christian music, then I wanted to talk openly about God’ s grace and our identity in Christ. That meant I would also need to continue being honest about the terrible moments of life too— when loved ones die tragically, your child gets a terrible diagnosis, or, like Tim, a doctor delivers the news that you only have five years left. I want the people in the crowd every night to know I am no different from them. I just happen to be able to sing and hold a microphone.

Bart Millard is a celebrated songwriter and artist best known as the frontman of the award-winning band MercyMe.
