As much as I hate it , I begrudgingly acknowledge that it ’ s only as I ’ m waiting that I enter fully into the deeper questions of trust . Testing gives us a quick feedback loop , but trusting is what grows from testing over time .
I ’ ve wanted to hurry through the hard seasons . I ’ ve wanted to process faster , grieve more quickly , heal rapidly . But the thing about healing is that there ’ s no such thing as speeding it up . You heal when you heal . You grow when you grow . And as you heal , you grow , gaining a deeper understanding of what you know and what you should do with that knowledge . This knowing occurs when what you think and feel come together — it ’ s truth with experience . Truth grounded in experience is what creates unshakable trust .
