Sometimes a solution can be simple . We might feel stuck , which can trigger our anger . But getting creative , even in small ways , can help us proactively address our triggers .
Proactively addressing your triggers is a brilliant way to minimize stress and angry outbursts .
Our anger is a great indicator of our mental health . It helps us understand we may have an unmet need , which is also true about our children ’ s anger . As we develop some healthy habits to control our anger , we proactively set aside the guilt and shame that come with it . And as we model those healthy habits , our kids learn to do the same , setting them up to have a healthy mindset about their own anger .
Mad doesn ’ t make you bad . It makes you human , a person with needs and desires that often go unmet as the demands of motherhood take precedence . Cut yourself some slack , give yourself some grace , and if the heavens part and bestow a miracle on you , take a nap .
