How to Get Started The most overwhelming part of decluttering and minimizing possessions is getting started . Where should you start ? How do you start ? I want you to keep in mind a few important things :
• All your clutter did not happen in a day .
• Your clutter will not be gone in a day .
• It will take several cycles of decluttering over time to get to where you want to be .
If you are a list person like me , you will like this next part . I ’ m going to outline what a good decluttering session should look like before I dive into the details . Your own personal decluttering journey may vary a little based on the size of your household and the amount of possessions you own . But remember , all of this will happen over a period of at least a month , if not longer . Take your time so you can get to all the areas you want to and not feel like you “ just need to get through it all .”
