The desires of other things represent anything in life that we want more than Jesus and His plan for our lives . Anything that we go after more than Him will be come an entanglement and will keep us bound from experiencing God ’ s best for our lives . Whenever we do this , we compromise our values to get what we want and become trapped by the very thing that we thought was the most important thing to us . It could be a job , a relationship , sports , addictive behaviors or spending money that you don ’ t have and getting into debt . Jesus said that where your treasure is , there your heart is .
Are you able to identify where you are entangled ? Recognizing your own entanglements is the first step in getting free from them . Next , just simply ask God to forgive you from putting other things before him . Finally , make a quality decision to give the word of God first place in your life by spending consistent quality time reading , studying and meditating the word . When the word has first place in your lives , you will see things from a different perspective and you will be empowered to make better decisions concerning time management , personal relationships , your career and everything else that matters in life . Now is the time for everything in your life to come into order , God ’ s order . Take these steps toward your freedom today and you will find yourself on a path toward success and fulfillment that is only found in Him . Your best days are in front of you and waiting for you .
