Along with interventions which will prevent the movement of sediment and new erosion , this project will improve the condition of vegetation within and adjacent to ( buffering ) watercourses . This will directly improve ecosystem services ( economic and biodiversity values ) in the location of intervention , as well as buffering these watercourses from the impacts of adjacent non-compatible land management practices .
