lend a hand at the annual Bench Bar Conference in october . The March CLE will continue our tradition of presenting a unique program focused on trial advocacy skills . In keeping with pandemic developments , plans are underway to continue providing shorter , virtual CLE options for members .
In addition to our usual programs , we continue to support pro bono efforts including through our partnership with Crossroads for Kids . We will also be awarding another scholarship to a worthy student in the coming year and taking note of the local lawyers who are deserving of the section ’ s annual awards to recognize excellence in litigation practice .
The work of the section is always possible only through the work and participation of its members . In that regard , I ’ d like to thank the members of last year ’ s Board : Chair Erin Jackson as well as our board members Jason Baruch , Jaret Fuente , Lily McCarty gonzalez , Lauren Humphries , Jenay Iurato , Caroline Johnson Levine , Anthony ( nino ) Martino , Brian McElfatrick , Chad Moore , Kevin napper , Andrew reder , John schifino , Morgan streetman , Jason Whittemore , Katherine Yanes , rebeccah Lo Cascio , and Amy Curratto , as well as the participation of Judge Jessica goodwin Costello and Judge Michael Williams . They are all dedicated to the section ’ s mission and have contributed greatly to its success . I would also like to specifically thank Lauren Humphries for taking on the role of chair-elect for the coming year . I look forward to working with her and the 2022-23 Board to make this year another successful one .
And let me make my pitch to you , our members . We ’ ve got a busy year ahead , and we welcome you to participate in Board committees or to simply attend our events in the year ahead . If you have ideas or suggestions for how the section can be of service to its members , please do not hesitate to reach out . n
