Phew — it ’ s 2022 !
What a couple of years it has been for my immediate predecessors — Morgan streetman , who saw the end of his year as chair derailed by CoVID-19 and tirelessly worked to make sure we could finally bestow our annual awards on the 2020 winners ; Chad Moore , who spent the 2020-21 year trying to constantly revise any plans depending on the ups and downs of the virus ; and Erin Jackson , who spent the 2021-22 year in a type of hybrid mode as the section tried to return to some sense of normalcy . These three kept the ship afloat through some choppy waters , and we greatly appreciate their steady hands and the CLEs and events they could pull off despite the hardships .
It seems foolish , then , to try to predict the future and tell you what the plans are for this year . But it ’ s at least a worthwhile exercise in hope — hope that we can see you at our traditional events , hope that the Board can continue to serve its members with timely programming and CLEs , and hope that we can continue the work we do in the community through our pro bono efforts .
Currently , we ’ re planning for the full slate of four in-person luncheons . Keep your eyes out for an email to “ save the dates .” That will include a welcome luncheon in october , a January luncheon , a March luncheon and CLE , and our May awards luncheon . We will also
