Welcome to the 2022- 23 Bar year ! You ’ re starting the year with brand new chairs for your HCBA solo & small Firm section , so we thought we would take this chance to introduce ourselves ! I am Mandi Clay , a commercial litigator , mediator , and arbitrator . I own Three Thirteen Law , PLLC , and have been working for myself for over three years . My firm is entirely virtual and has always been , even before the pandemic ! I have four years of federal clerkship experience and nine years of “ big firm ” experience . I am passionate about the voluntary bar community , having served as 2020-2021 President of HAWL and for several years as a member of both the Florida Bar Voluntary Bar Liaison Committee and the Florida Bar Committee on the Mental Health & Wellness of Lawyers . This is my first time chairing a section for the HCBA , and I am excited to jump in with my two fantastic co-chairs , Chelsie M . Lamie and Charlotte Fernée Kelly .

Chelsie M . Lamie is a personal injury attorney . A former insurance
adjuster and former insurance defense attorney . since 2008 , she has exclusively fought for the injured , representing victims of car accidents , sexual assault or abuse , and other serious injuries . Chelsie ’ s law firm went from brick-andmortar to virtual in 2018 , with her six full-time employees working remotely from Florida , georgia , and Texas . Chelsie splits her time between her home in Playa del Carmen , Mexico , and Clearwater , Florida , and loves running her firm remotely . she is passionate about law firm culture and identifying and implementing systems to reduce redundancy and increase productivity and profit .
Charlotte Fernée Kelly practices all aspects of labor and employment law , regularly representing parties in arbitration and litigation in state and federal courts . she enjoys helping her clients find legal and practical solutions for their short and long-term needs . Charlotte assists with policy formation , contract drafting and negotiation , and legal advising on a wide range of issues specific to the workplace . she is also a member of the
Florida Chapter of the national Employment Lawyers Association , as well as The Florida Bar Labor and Employment Law section , and their Young Lawyers Division . In addition , and because mental health and her local community are a priority , Charlotte currently serves as second Vice President on the Board of Directors for the Hillsborough County affiliate of the national Alliance on Mental Illness . nAMI Hillsborough provides free mental health services and resources to all who request such access , including those who require anonymity . she is excited and grateful for this opportunity to serve as a co-chair for HCBA ’ s solo and small Firm Committee , and looks forward to a productive and fruitful year .
All three of us sincerely hope that you will reach out to us and let us know what we can do to make this section as beneficial to you as possible . We can be reached at mandi @ threethirteenlaw . com ; chelsie @ chelsielamie . com ; and charlotte @ ferneekellylaw . com . n
