after CoVID . It was an incredible post-CoVID year under the leadership of my predecessor and friend , Alex Palermo . The Board worked extraordinarily hard to provide all the programming we missed during the solitude of the prior virtual year , and we filled our closet with all we craved ; it was just what we needed as our world slowly returned to pre-pandemic normalcy . now , as we settle back into the groove of a typical Bar year , your YLD Board is committed to “ Marie Kondo-ing ” our closet ( yes , we just made that term up ; it fits nicely , though ). Your YLD Board has been hard at work over the summer months evaluating each YLD event and activity , asking ourselves whether this brings joy ( or connection or fun or learning ) to our members . We are reevaluating with an eye toward member engagement and long-term sustainability .
If you are already a member of our YLD , thank you ! It ’ s because of young lawyers like you that our Division is so great . Extra special thanks to my fellow dedicated Board members — sean Bevil , Alex Palermo , Amanda Keller , David Kalteux , Jason Imler , Christian Katchuk , natasha Khoyi , nicole gehringer , sara Peacock Bartos , Harold Holder , Marisol ruiz , Hannah Becker , Daniela Mendez , and Alexis Deveaux , as well as our fabulous judicial liaisons , Judges samantha Ward and Elizabeth rice , and our four ex-officio members from the Florida Bar YLD Board of governors .
