Going into deep meditation and attuning to your innermost longing, opens a two-way communication channel between your soul and the Universal Mind. Seeds of desire exist for a reason. Each seed of desire is an invitation to experience new levels of living, learning and loving. You might be agonizingly aware of some, while others remain dormant and unknown to you. Either way, it?s important to know and listen to your deepest purest desires for they will lead you to your destiny. Desire is the soul?s primal scream. From unknown depths of your heart, it shouts, ?Fulfill me!? ?Make me Whole!? ?Complete me!? If you ignore the call of your heart, the higher plan for your life might elude you. In the depths of meditation, when your mind is quiet and calm, bring awareness down to the heart, to the innermost sacred center of your being and listen. Listen to your heart without judgment, without censorship. If you?re not immediately aware of what you want, ask questions such as, ?What do I want?? ?What do I need?? ?What?s missing in my life?? ?What would make me feel more fulfilled and happy?? " Com plet e M e!" This is not a thinking exercise; it?s a tender one, where you feel your way into the heart?s wisdom. Engage your innermost longing with compassion. You might discover a large hole of emptiness, painful yearning, or an awareness of something crucial missing in your life. You might find you?ve been ignoring your real feelings and have been making the most out of a situation that doesn?t support you. The Voyage into the Deep Self often begins with suffering or necessity??like finally becoming so fed up with living in fear, lack, or limitation you can?t take it anymore. If you encounter a dark and hollow well of unmet yearning, allow the tears to come. Allow yourself to feel the deprivation, the emptiness and sorrow. Scream into that well. Give yourself permission to yearn. Yearning is a form of prayer. It?s a shout-out to the universe. When you yearn in meditation, you send out a pure signal. Do not yearn from a place of victimhood or self-pity??that?s the ego feeling sorry for itself. Do not attach your desire to a specific person. Keep your desire lifted and free floating.
