than mindfulness meditation, mantra meditation or Law of Attraction practices. Going into deep meditation
and attuning to your innermost longing, opens a two-way communication channel between your soul and the
Universal Mind.

The heart has its own intuitive intelligence that when listened to,
guides and informs us. Seeds of desire exist for a reason. Each seed of
desire is an invitation to experience new levels of living, learning and
loving. You might be agonizingly aware of some, while others remain
dormant and unknown to you. Either way, it?s important to know and
listen to your deepest purest desires for they will lead you to your
destiny.
Desire is the soul?s primal scream. From unknown depths of your
heart, it shouts, ?Fulfill me!? ?Make me Whole!? ?Complete me!? If you
ignore the call of your heart, the higher plan for your life might elude
you.
In the depths of meditation, when your mind is quiet and calm, bring
awareness down to the heart, to the innermost sacred center of your
being and listen. Listen to your heart without judgment, without
censorship. If you?re not immediately aware of what you want, ask
questions such as, ?What do I want?? ?What do I need?? ?What?s missing in my life?? ?What would make me
feel more fulfilled and happy??

This is not a thinking exercise; it?s a tender one, where you feel your way into the heart?s wisdom. Engage
your innermost longing with compassion. You might discover a large hole of emptiness, painful yearning, or
an awareness of something crucial missing in your life. You might find you?ve been ignoring your real feelings
and have been making the most out of a situation that doesn?t support you.
The Voyage into the Deep Self often begins with suffering or necessity??like finally becoming so fed up
with living in fear, lack, or limitation you can?t take it anymore. If you encounter a dark and hollow well of
unmet yearning, allow the tears to come. Allow yourself to feel the deprivation, the emptiness and sorrow.
Scream into that well. Give yourself permission to yearn.
Yearning is a form of prayer. It?s a shout-out to the
universe. When you yearn in meditation, you send out a
pure signal.
Do not yearn from a place of victimhood or
self-pity??that?s the ego feeling sorry for itself. Do not
attach your desire to a specific person. Keep your desire
lifted and free floating. Yearn from a place of surrender
and reverence. The more deeply you surrender, the
more open you become to receiving.
