Lat- in Times Magazine’s, Victor Padilla talked at length with Danny about his movie ca- reer, his Trejo’s Tacos and about his upcoming projects including his project to tell a story 71-years in the mak- ing. “Inmate #1: The Rise of Danny Trejo”, currently in production in California, ex- plores the life and career of Hollywood’s most unlikely hero, Danny Trejo. Latin Times Magazine: What inspired you to become an Actor? Danny Trejo: Got into the Film busi- ness in 1985 and I was fortunate enough to catch a good break and with great producers and actors. I have done over 320 films like Marked for Death (1990), Blood In Blood out (1993), Despera- do (1995), Heat (1995), From Dusk till Dawn (1996), Con Air (1997), Point Blank (1998), Spy Kids ( 2002), Once Upon a Time in Mexico (2003), and many others. Now my recent film, North by el Norte comes out on No- vember 25th, 2017 sounds delicious? Danny Trejo: My mom always had a dream of opening a Restaurant, but my dad was kind of a Mexican Archie B unker, he would tell her.” You want a restaurant there it is in the kitchen.” So, in her honor I opened Trejo Tacos and now I have opened three restaurants. Latin Times Magazine: Besides Trejo Tacos, what is your favorite Latin Food and do you like Cuban Sandwiches? Danny Trejo: Two enchiladas, with shredded beef and two over easy eggs on top.
