The Taiwan Overcomers Baseball League , an OMSfounded inclusive baseball ministry for players ages 5 to 50 , began in February 2022 . In 2024 , 47 uniquely-abled children and adults played baseball for eight Saturday mornings from January to April . Christians from local churches and nearby university students helped the players enjoy a simplified game of baseball . Because of this compassion ministry , three new families began attending OMS missionaries Rod and Beth Williamson ’ s Bible study for families of children with special needs .
Philippines
Years ago , a Filipino pastor drew a map in training , labeling a place where he wanted to plant a church for an indigenous group someday . He laid the map aside and forgot about it . Later , he and others did a prayer walk in the same area . Again , he forgot about it . But God didn ’ t . In January , the pastor and church leaders planted a church among the tribe in Palawan , Philippines … the same area he had marked on the map years before . During an OMS Train & Multiply Launch the Church training in February , the pastor realized that the place he had drawn years ago was the same place !
Côte d ’ Ivoire
The West Africa Missionary Movements ( WAMM ) project officially launched in Côte d ’ Ivoire in early February . WAMM ’ s goal is to reach unreached people groups throughout West Africa .
For two weeks in February , Augustin Longa and his team trained 20 church planters affiliated with the Vineyard Church . Meeting in Séguéla , Côte d ’ Ivoire , this is the first of six planned training times with the cohort in 2024 .
